Welcome to 4CSG Survival and Preparedness; the home for 4CSG members of the
Survival/Homesteading & Patriot communities.
The purpose of this site is to provide a forum where this issue may be freely
discussed and explored and to provide a support group where members can actively
interact with others who believe in freedom and the responsibilities that
naturally come with it. Some of those responsibilities include preparing to
survive by being more self-sufficient through homesteading practices so that we
feel like we are better able to perform our patriotic duties. Although this
website is new, the tradition of patriotism among members of the Christian
Church is one with a long history. We have been taught that the United States
was established under the direction of God for specific purposes relating to the
freedom of all men. As Patriotic God fearing Americans, we understand the
special relationship the Lord has with America and have been taught that we have
a responsibility to honor and safeguard those freedoms with which we have been
endowed. We recognize that it's our duty to protect and defend the
Constitutional principles upon which this country was founded. This is as much a
part of our responsibility, as our homes, our jobs and our church. Every
Christian has spiritual obligations in these areas: his home, his church, his
job and his citizenship responsibility. Each of these areas should receive
consistent attention. Are we doing our duty in these important fields? What
about our citizenship responsibility -- our obligation to safeguard our freedom
and preserve the Constitution? May we as a free people face courageously the
challenging responsibility, which faces us. "All that is necessary for the
triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
It is in this spirit that we embrace the Survival/Homesteading/Patriot
community in America. For many, the image of the Survival/Homesteading/Patriot
community movement is one of extremism, intolerance, racism and anti-government
thought. I submit to you that, although these ideas exist, they represent a
small and alienated faction. The great majority of Patriots in the United States
are good, hard working, trustworthy people who share the spirit of freedom and
the calling of the Minuteman. Without question, Thomas Paine explained it best
when he wrote: "Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this
consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the
triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only
that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its
goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom
should not be highly rated". We support the Constitution of the United States
and recognize it as the supreme law of the land. Furthermore, we believe that
supporting the Constitution also requires defending it against all enemies,
foreign and domestic.
Many of us, both Men and Women, have served honorably in the Armed Forces and
have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, this obligation was not revoked
upon our discharge. As Americans, we share this duty. But I declare to you, for
what it may be worth, that it [the Constitution] is what Gladstone said it was,
the greatest document ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose
of man. A document which, according to my belief, the Lord himself inspired to
be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all
men and women, according to just and holy principles, established by the hands
of wise men who the Lord raised up for that purpose; and as the Lord said, this
land was redeemed by the shedding of blood. I say to you that the price of
liberty is and always has been blood, human blood, and if our liberties are
lost, we shall never regain them except at the price of blood. They must not be
lost! This belief was no doubt inspired by a quote from Thomas Jefferson who
said, "The strongest reason for the People to keep and bear arms is, as a last
resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." This isn't an idea
whose time has passed; it is as valid today as it ever was. We are faced with
challenges that would have seemed factious not too many years past.
As members of the Survival/Homesteading/Patriot community, we see the actions
being taken against our freedoms and we strongly denounce them much as the
Minutemen who gathered at Lexington and Concord to face the Imperial might of
England. This quote says it quite well: "Today, we need a nation of Minutemen,
citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the
preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are
willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." John F. Kennedy
There's no doubt that in order to preserve our Republic we must be willing and
able to defend it. For this purpose, we are armed and have dedicated ourselves
to the preservation of our right to keep and bear arms. Guns are our liberty
teeth; they stand as an equalizer in the hands of all good people against the
powers of evil.
We present no threat to those who honor their oaths of office, nor to those
who honestly serve this country. Only those Politicians and Bureaucrats who
knowingly conspire to usurp our liberties to live, work and worship as we
choose, need be concerned. We fervently support and encourage all good men and
women to Stockpile Food, Medical supplies, & Other provisions to be as self
sufficient as possible & to carry and train with their firearms so they can
protect their lives and to perpetuate the free agency of man.
We welcome the support of freedom loving organizations and people of every
race, nationality, creed and religion.
This site is dedicated to you so stay awhile and return often.
